There are many ways to be involved in World Missions. Here are some ideas...

Pray
There is nothing more important to our missionaries than having prayer support. LBWM publishes many different resources to help you pray specifically for your missionaries.

Increase Mission Awareness
Join your church’s mission committee. If your church doesn’t have one, start it yourself. ACMC.org has some great resources to help you and your church increase awareness of our international missions.

Go
There are short-term mission opportunities available through LBWM, such as the Connections English program in Japan, as well as 1-2 week mission trips to our mission fields in Asia and Africa. Skills in construction, medicine, dentistry, mechanics, or solar power systems may be especially useful for supporting our long-term missionaries in their work. Please contact the LBWM office.

There is also an urgent need for long-term missionaries to invest their lives in ministering to unreached peoples groups. See the panel on the right for personnel needs.

You can support World Missions through your local LB church, by mail, or online through the secure Lutheran Brethren Online Giving site.

Personnel Needs

CHAD
 Three individuals or couples to serve in ministry to unreached Muslim people groups. Ministry gifts may include linguistics, agriculture development, animal husbandry, medical, teaching, evangelism, and church planting.

TAIWAN
 One individual or couple to serve in Hakka Church planting.

CAMEROON
 Two individuals or couples to serve in ministry to unreached Muslim people groups. Ministry gifts may include linguistics, agriculture development, animal husbandry, medical, teaching, evangelism, and church planting.

JAPAN
 Multiple short-term English teachers in the Connections program. Minimum one year commitment. Click here for details.
